Mash Tun False Bottom and Silicone Tubing Adapter KitThis kit includea false bottom with 3/8"hose barb, 1ft reinforced silicone hose, 2 worm clamps and a 3/8"barb by 1/2"Male NPT fitting. Itwill thread directly into the side of the pre-weld 1/2" Female NPT coupler of brew kettles/kegs, or into the back of any weldless ball valves, allowing you to better filter trub and whole hops from your wort while transferring from your kettle/kegs to your fermenter.The silicone hose is long enough for any sized mash tun, thus it can be trimmed down for smaller pots. Measure and cut the silicone tube to the desired length of the male false bottom assembly.This false bottom features a dome design so that the liquid can be drawn from all sides. To make it easier to draw the liquid, it also comes with a stainless steel elbow hose fitting at the center. Made from 304 stainless steel construction, the false bottom is heavy and durable enough to stay in place at the bottom without it floating on top so the liquid wort is effectively separated from the grain bills. This makes cleanup convenient because the false bottom can easily be removed without the use of tools.False bottoms are used to separate the grains from the wort. They are often installed at the bottom of the lauter tun to allow the wort to drain while leaving the grain behind.
